Organizing the office before National

Maybe this isn't on everyone's to-do list, but it is on mine. When I leave the husband for the week of National my office has to be tidy to match the rest of the house. He puts Mr. Clean to shame, so my house is in good hands while I'm gone.

My mom died 18 months ago and this spring we went down to San Diego and got what I wanted and the kids wanted and let my brother have what he wanted. So since March it has been sitting in the garage waiting for me to be ready to add my mom's belongings to my home. Since I needed to clean the office and most of it is going in there today seemed like a good day to tackle the job.

Now her comforter and pillows sit on my visitor chair, some candles sit in my window, and the china cabinet is complete with her stuff and mine. Tomorrow, Dark Knight and my desk!!!

Countdown to National -- T minus 9 days and counting.

I have a lot of my mother's things surrounding me, in my office and even in my car, (I carry her cane with me in my little car), it brings me comfort. She'll be gone 2yrs this august...I do think it was time for you to settle her things, and in a lot of way settle your own feelings of loss.

Lee, thanks for the support. It is nice to see my office complete, it makes writing in there a pleasure.
