RWA 2008 San Francisco

Sorry about being behind, I watched the Olympic coverage last night. Tonight I'll post the rest of my notes about conference.

Day 3 - Friday

Friday was an insane day. Tons of workshops and my editor/agent appointments. Nerves-wise, I did much better this year. Yeah!! One good appointment, one great appointment. Since I've never had a GREAT appointment before, that was nifty. She asked lots of questions about my world-building and my characters, and before I knew it the appointment was over. The Black Diamonds had dinner together and we caught up on what each of us had done at the conference. The Hawaiian Martinis at Roy's are awesome. Meant to go to bed early, but by the time I organized my room and my papers for the last day...1 am again. LOL

Day 4 - Saturday

A bit of a letdown as I realize this is the last day. Great workshops, terrific publisher booksignings, and a very speedy lunch from Starbuck's. Went to an Intrique Authors Meet and Greet. That was fun, I'm really enjoying the Intriques since I started reading them because Carol Ericsson of GIAM writes for them. They are danger and love in a very intense setting. Cool!!! The husband showed up to join me for the Rita Awards. He brought a picnic dinner; sandwiches, salads, desssert, and beer. Yum!!!! And flowers.....ahhhhh!! He is why I have no problem writing my heroes in my stories. We got all dressed up for the RITA's, he is so handsome in a suit, unfortunately I forgot to have someone take our picture. The awards were fun to watch and really well-done this year. Until next year.........Jill James
